Famous Italian wines: The Marcello Marchesini labels are among them

Every year wine connoisseurs taste wines from around the world therefore, reviewing and awarding them.  This year, Marcello Marchesini labels brought home great results yet again, proving to be among the most famous Italian wines.

In 2018 our wines were noticed by the most important and recognised lifestyle magazine WineSpectator, a magazine specialised in the wine culture. The great satisfaction for us came when our 2017 Rose wine achieved a fine 87 points accompanying this result with an important review in the August 2018 edition of the magazine.

Again, last year our Rose and Sparkling Rose wines were both awarded the bronze Decanter World Wine Awards.  Again a great satisfaction considering it is one of the most important wine competitions around the world.

And that is not all…

What are the best rose wines in the world?

There are many awards dedicated to the rose wines and we are proud to announce that our wines are among those awarded by the most famous wine critics and experts in the sector.

The Marcello Marchesini Classic Rose was awarded the silver medal at the 2019 Mondial Du Rosè of Cannes whereas, our Sparkling Rose won the gold medal.  Two awards that really made us happy and that each year confirm the quality of our wines and the hard work behind them.

At Falstaff – Italian Rose Trophy our Classic Rose wine was awarded 90 points whereas, our Sparkling Rose was given 88 points.  Important points given to our wines that enrich the palmares that these two labels have achieved and of which our family takes particular care.

Fine Italian wines that are recognised around the world

We do not only produce Rose in our Winery in Lazise but we also produce red and white wines, obtained by the grapes that we cultivate in our vineyard.  This is why we are also very proud when not only our rose wines obtain important victories but also other wines such as our Bardolino Classic.

This is the case of the Merum magazine that, awarded our Bardolino in its August 2019 edition with maximum points (3 hearts,  “no amount of bottles would be enough in the winery” with the JLF) and mentioning it in a lovely article signed by Andreas März, a great fan – apart from being a true expert – of Bardolino.

“As soon as the season gets a bit warmer, Bardolino is one of my favourite wines. So wonderfully fruity and drinkable but above all also inexpensive.  There are many good Bardolino wines. Often – and surprisingly – we are talking about small producers such as Garda Natura, Le Tende, Marchesini, Morando, Raval, Righetti or maybe Valetti, who make the best Bardolino wines every year. A great sensibility is necessary when obtaining delicate bottled wines without any trouble. When looking around the wineries, these true artists make the Bardolino wines with surprisingly simple technology. Even though the Rose, the pink version of the Bardolino wine, continues to become more and more important commercially speaking, our heart really belongs to the red Bardolino. For our readers who, unlike me, happily drink the rose wines cannot go wrong buy purchasing from the winegrowers who work well with red Bardolino. We have awarded, the young, fruity and drinkable wines like we always do. The Bardolino should be juicy and fruity so that a bottle between two people is never enough. A bottle that is still half full even after the meal, must have been a bad choice (rules of the JFL).”
