Vinitaly International Wine and spirit fair has arrived at it’s 51st edition. The event, that will take place from 9th to 12th April 2017 in the pavilion at the Verona exhibition center, offers us hundreds of wines from all around the world and welcomes the palates of it’s visitors eager to taste the wines. Here is the latest news. This year the fair is reserved exclusively for professionals of the industry (wholesalers, importer and exporter, buyers and professionals in the Horeca industry) and had more than 130.000 visitors from 140 different countries in 2016.
Vinitaly is therefore, a visit around the world of wines with the Vininternational being the pavilion dedicated to foreign wines and where you can find wines coming from Russia, Poland, USA, Hungary, Spain, France, Portugal and many other countries. This year there will also be a special guest, new in this event with a Japanese producer of sake presenting its collection.
A large area is dedicated to the Italian wineries. Piemonte, Sardegna, Toscana, Molise are just some of the regions that have not only expanded their areas but also revisited the design of their production.
Made in Italy is as prestigious and well recognised as ever and this year, in particular the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Agricultural Politics have put together an important plan in order to further promote the Made in Italy during the Vinitaly fair with a platform for the internationalisation of Italian companies. For this reason, a delegation of operators selected by the Ice-Italian Trade Agency will be presented at the fair.
Vinitaly crea la guida dei vini
The 2017 Five Stars Book is both one of the most important and eagerly awaited things about this years edition. The guide holds information on the best wines, those – as voted by a selected panel of judges – that have achieved at least 90 huntredth votes. The commission will get together before the manifestation itself and will be composted of Master of Wine, Master of Sommelier and specialised journalists. The publication both in digital and paper format will then be publicised and its divulged.

Just like all major fair, Vinitaly also has it out of fair events. Vinitaly and the City is the event that can be found on the streets and in the main squares of Verona. As from 7th to 11th April, you can live this unforgettable experience with special moments of food, wine, art and music.
